    1 Ton Swap Jeep XJ

    These worked well for my Jeep XJ, couldn't access the inside of the unbody to thru-bolt it. So these were a great option to weld on. Works great and held up well for our last Tennessee trip.

    It works, kind of.

    I installed the clevis as instructed and took my jeep out for a spin on the road. The clevis seemed to help around town but as soon as I took the jeep off roading, both sides took a serious bend. Also it would be better looking if this matched the strap, perhaps powder coat these black or blue steel these.

    Good day Andres. I would remount the chassis side blocks on an angle. You want the clevis to be in line with the strap when it's loaded, otherwise the extreme side load will bend the threaded shank. The other alternative would be to move the strap mount on the a-arm so it's more inboard and inline with the clevis. I hope that info helps!
