Safety washers are designed to be used when mounting a rod end in single shear. Should the ball of the rod end ever break free from the body the safety washer will prevent total loss of control and keep the rod end captured.

The most common application for a safety washer is on steering applications using rod ends or heim joints.

At TMR we machine additional dish/relief into the safety washer so they also function to provide more misalignment from your rod end or heim joint. 

SKU 1428 (5/8" Safety Washer) measures 1/4" thick
SKU 1429 (3/4" Safety Washer) measures 5/16" thick
