Easy to Prep, Paint, and Touch Up
I used this for a set of axles that went under my Jeep. It took me 7 cans to cover everything. It was really easy to prep with 36 grit sand paper and went on easily. I didn't have the best luck welding through it as it caught on fire around each weld after a week of curing. The welds are still solid but they don't look as great as the rest. Despite that, I plan to use this for all my future paint needs including frame stiffeners and suspension parts this month because it is really easy to touch up. I will just be more cautious about welding through it.
WOW that's a nice XJ! Thanks for the feedback. My advice is to only weld through the paint for a repair or to fix a damaged area where you can't remove the paint prior to welding. You are 100% right on the touch ups, it's very easy to blend!
